The mission of the Westlake Dance Team is to provide a program for members to become better-rounded dancers as both an art and a sport. Dance Team is a year round performing/competitive sport that requires a high level of commitment from each member. The WDT will give the opportunity to be a part of an advanced and elite team, performing at various events and competing against other teams. Team members will have the opportunity to improve in their dance technique skills, choreography skills, improvisation skills, performance skills, as well as learning valuable, usable life skills. The dance team will also provide team members the opportunity to learn commitment, responsibility, and dedication necessary to maintain a well-rounded and healthy life style.
